RealMe 1 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 5: Are you confused in choosing the best among RealMe 1 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 ? So here I compared both of the Smartphone on the basis of their key specifications and overall stats and I would suggest you to keep reading this article to choose the best smartphone for you.
Oppo’s sub-brand Realme launched its first smartphone called “RealMe 1” which is an attempt by the company to directly compete against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and believe me RealMe 1 is a Value For Money product for those who have a tight budget of Rs. 9000. So if you are confused to choose the best of these smartphones under the price ranges then stay with me here and let’s start our Smart Comparison.
There’s nothing to talk about the designs of the phone. RealMe 1 directly beats the design of the Redmi Note 5 because of its new glossy diamond cut design. This premium design of the Smartphone gives a unique look and also it attracts the users. There are total 15 tangent planes carved on the body of the phone with each plane having different colors. This reflects the color and gives a shiny glossy look.
Whereas, Redmi Note 5 carries the old upgraded look of the Note 4 but in 18:9 aspect ratio. It upgrades the rounded corners and have a metallic look in the middle whereas it carries plastic finish at the top and bottom parts of the backside of Phone.

Both Smartphones are made up of good material but in case of the Design, RealMe 1 beats the Redmi Note 5 .
RealMe 1 features a 6-inch Full HD+ display with almost bezel less design on the sides. The display of the smartphone looks quite sharp and also sufficient bright to read text in extreme sunlight. The display is powered up to 402 PPI. Display also offers some screen color setting adjustments to be Default, Cool or Warm.
Redmi Note 5carries a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display which is powered up to 403 PPI. The display of the phone is a Sunlight display which automatically adjusts the contrast of the screen real-time. It has a quite bright display to read texts in the natural lights.
Both Smartphones have almost same features in the display but still I prefer RealMe 1 in case of display also.
Software and Hardware
The new RealMe 1runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo which offers a lot of customizations including navigation keys, Gestures, time and a lot of other features. It also gives a Clone Apps features which replicates the selected app to use it twice in the same smartphone. Also it gives three fingers swipe-up Split screen feature. The RealMe 1 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 Octa-Core processor which is really a powerful processor coming under this price range. The starting variant of the phone offers 3GB of RAM and 32 GB internal which can be expanded more using SD card.
The Redmi Note 5is powered by the Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor which is a quite good processor comes in this budget segment. It offers 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants and provides an excellent performance without any freezes. But the Helio P60 of RealMe 1 is more faster than the Snapdragon which beats the Redmi Note 5 again.
The RealMe 1 comes with a 13MP rear cam with LED flash light and a 8MP front cam for beautiful selfies. The daylight pictures of the RealMe 1 are super excellent and also the camera is very quick in focusing the objects. 8MP front cam also clicks good pictures because of its ‘AI BEAUTY’ feature which automatically beautifies selfies.
The Redmi Note 5 offers a 12MP rear cam with LED flash light and also 5MP front cam with flash. Daylight pictures are well but low light pictures are quite dull. Also it has a selfie flash but still low light selfies contains a lot of noise.
So in case of camera, again the RealMe 1 beats the Redmi Note 5.
So here comes the most important feature, the battery backup of the phone. The RealMe 1 comes with a 3410mAh battery with a AI battery managment feature to save energy. Even on heavy tasks, the battery of the smartphone left 35% charge after using it on a casual day.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a 4000mAh battery without fast charging. The battery life is amazing and is enough to work whole day for you. So in case of battery backup, both phones compete against each other but here Redmi Note 5 beats the RealMe 1 because of its larger capacity.
I know you got it that the RealMe 1 beats the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in overall performance. So you should definitely go for RealMe 1 if you have a tight budget of Rs. 9000 but if you can expense your budget a bit more then there comes a lot of other options also but in Mid-range segment RealMe 1 definitely beats the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
