HTTP Full Form - Hyper Text Transfer Protocol

The HTTP Full Form is Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. This protocol is very helpful for data communication. This is a type of protocol which is used to exchange information or to visit any page saved on the web. This is a simple protocol but most of the websites use their HTTPS protocol which is a secured network.

Meaning of Hypertext

The text which contains any link to any page saved on Internet is known as Hypertext. In simple words, hypertext is a word which contains link in it. It is used to redirect user from one page to another page saved on the Internet. I have also used hypertext on this page to link my other pages with this page.

Meaning of HTTP

HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. This is a protocol which transfers and exchanges information between the user and any page saved on Internet. You'll always see a "HTTP" protocol before any URL on every page on Internet. Even on this page, you can see the "HTTP" protocol before our exact page URL.
If we try to understand this using a example then let's suppose you want to visit our website which is addressed on "www.smartexplains.com" but to visit our site you'll also have to add "HTTP" before our website address. That means you'll have to write "http://www.smartexplains.com" to visit our website.
